Russia's wanted list updated: it now includes almost 6,000 Belarusians
Russian police continue to declare Belarusians wanted. Over the past six months, 1,118 citizens and natives of Belarus have been added to the list — it now contains almost 6,000 people. Belarusians end up on Russia's wanted list at the request of the Republic of Belarus — meaning the person is wanted in both countries and can also be extradited from "friendly countries," writes "Mediazona."

Since October 2025, several journalists have been declared wanted: investigator Tatsiana Ashurkevich, host of the "Made in Poland" project Maksim Parshuta, journalist and Deutsche Welle editor Uliana Babayed, media consultant Dzianis Vasilkov, journalist from Homel Alena Hermanovich, author of the "Chestnok Live" project and former political prisoner Aliaksandr Ivulin, music journalist and writer Aliaksandr Charnukha.
In addition, Belarus continues to declare former political prisoners wanted. This time, among them is 44-year-old activist Viktoryia Kulsha, detained in 2020. The court sentenced her to 2.5 years in a penal colony, but while imprisoned, new criminal cases were repeatedly initiated against her under the article on malicious disobedience to the colony administration, and her term amounted to 6.5 years. Viktoryia was released in December 2025 as part of a group of political prisoners transported to Ukraine after another round of negotiations between representatives of US President Donald Trump and Aliaksandr Lukashenka. Kulsha spent more than 5 years in detention.
Also on the wanted list are those convicted in the "Hayun case": 25-year-old Mikita Losik, 46-year-old Dzmitry Baitsov, 31-year-old Anton Artsiukh, 27-year-old Siarhei Tsygankou; those convicted of gross violation of public order: 26-year-old volunteer Kira Bayarenka, 41-year-old Andrei Buban, 45-year-old Siarhei Hun, 29-year-old veterinarian Yana Zhuravliova, 34-year-old Dzmitry Kanaplianik, 23-year-old former BNTU student Hleb Muravitski.

They are also looking for multi-child mother Natallia Hovarava, convicted on charges of insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka and a government official.
Teacher Volha Filatchankava, convicted in the "students' case," as well as two accused in the "Union of the Belarusian National Shield" case — 20-year-old Aleh Dabrydniou and 22-year-old Uladzislau Yefimovich — were also put on the wanted list.
25-year-old Yakau Shafarenka, detained on charges of participating in mass riots in Brest in 2020 and sentenced to 5.5 years in a penal colony, and Pavel Nikitsenka, sentenced to 4.5 years; they were released and transported to Lithuania in September 2025 as part of a group of political prisoners following negotiations between US representatives and Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

How to check yourself
Often, the list does not specify the article under which a person is wanted. Instead, there is the inscription "wanted under Criminal Code article" and a contact number for the police department. Sometimes, the description includes special features and photos of those sought.
Those added to the database between October and April 2026 are marked with a "+". Those removed during this period are marked with an "x".
