Khatereh Hadadadi, an Iranian dentistry student, was detained in Belarus for comments about Iran in a Telegram channel, Reform.news reports, citing the London-based Iranian TV channel ManotoTV.
According to the TV channel, Khatereh Hadadadi was detained with the intervention of the Iranian Embassy in Belarus and received 14 days of arrest.
"According to her relatives, she was supposed to be released on April 30, but she remains in custody, and her student and residence status remains uncertain. It is also reported that during her detention, she was denied access to a lawyer and the opportunity to contact friends," the TV channel reports.
Khatereh Hadadadi is a student at the Faculty of Foreign Students of the Belarusian State Medical University. She was listed as a participant in a student conference in Minsk on April 29-30 with a paper titled "Snow-white smile - a gift of nature or an achievement of medicine?".
