The first phase of the Minsk metro's ring line will only reach Viasnyanka
Instead of the promised long section to Kharkovskaya Street, with a transfer at "Pushkinskaya", the first phase will be limited to just three stations.

According to the latest statements by the director of "Minskmetroproekt" Mikhail Rudko, cited by the "Minsk-Novosti" agency, the design of the fourth ring line is planned to be completed in 2028, however, its construction process has already been divided into specific phases and stages.
The main news is that the first launch complex will include only three stations on the section from Maxim Bogdanovich Street to Timiryazev Street. In fact, this means that passengers will only be able to travel from Bangalore Square to the Viasnyanka microdistrict.

Just a month ago, there was talk that the first section of the ring line would run from Bangalore all the way to Kharkovskaya Street with a transfer at "Pushkinskaya".
Considering all previous changes, the first section will look as follows: "Maksima Bahdanovicha" — "Staravilienski Shliakh" — "Viasnyanka".
At the first stage, a metro "appendix" that is senseless from a transport point of view is formed: the first phase of the ring line crosses Pobediteley Avenue and extends to the "Park Druzhby Narodov" station, the terminal station of the third line, from which the third line actually goes in the opposite direction, again crossing Pobediteley Avenue.
Part of the design work for relocating engineering networks on this short section should be completed by 2026, after which the main construction phase will begin.

In recent months, this is not the first major change in the plans for the construction of the fourth line. Recall that the initial project of the ring line envisaged 17 stations, but in January 2026, it became known that the number was reduced to 15 — "Kyivsky Skver" and "Politechnichnaya" disappeared from the plans. In April, a new scheme for the ring line appeared, from which it follows that its eastern part was generally decided to be moved further from the center into the industrial zone of Drazhnya, closer to the future megadistrict of Zyalony Bor.
