More than a month ago, something strange began in the entrance of a residential building called «New York» in «Minsk World»: holes started appearing in the tiles here and there. The excavated floor seemingly doesn't cause major functional inconveniences, but it looks unaesthetic. Plus, residents don't understand why all this is needed at all, Onliner writes .
A resident of the high-rise, Aliaksei, spoke about the situation:
— At «Minsk World», 16 Belharadskaya Street, on the first floor, inexplicable excavations have been ongoing for over a month. Everything is boiling in the house chat. The service organization says there haven't been many complaints, so maybe they're not rushing to finish all this mess. I would like to understand what's happening, what they are looking for.
Onlíner requested a comment from the service organization «Happy Planet».
It turned out that such ruthless handling of the tiles was necessary to solve a mundane problem — eliminating a pipeline leak.
Matvei Rasolka, Deputy Director for Legal Affairs, explained:
— Within the framework of warranty obligations, work has been carried out to eliminate a leak in the heating system pipeline, which runs under the floor screed in residential building No. 16 on Belharadskaya Street, which necessitated the removal of tiles to perform these works. Now, floor screed is being applied in the excavated areas.
The organization clarified that all repair and restoration work is planned to be completed by May 30.
