Money extorted from Volha Karach's acquaintance, convicted of espionage, in prison. He boasted he could get money from the Belarusian embassy

In Lithuania, the trial of an extortion case will soon begin, the victim of which may be Mantas Danielius — a Lithuanian citizen convicted of espionage for Belarus and currently serving a sentence in Pravieniškes prison. The accused in the extortion case is a well-known Lithuanian athlete, multiple national kickboxing champion Rolandas Agrba, who is himself already imprisoned — for previous extortion and other crimes.

Danielius is an informant who, in 2022-2023, served the interests of Belarusian propagandist Ksenia Lebedeva, closely associated with the special services. He infiltrated the ranks of Belarusian opposition organizations in Vilnius, acting as a lawyer for Volha Karach's organization "Our House". Danielius was sentenced to 9 years in prison for espionage. He wants to be exchanged with Belarus.

46-year-old Agrba is a multiple Lithuanian kickboxing champion. He is imprisoned for extorting 5,000 euros from a small entrepreneur, as well as for other crimes.

In August 2025, one of the inmates told Danielius that Rolandas Agrba wanted to meet him. The meeting was friendly — Agrba even treated him to food, although according to informal prison rules, this was a violation: Danielius belongs to a lower prison "caste", while Agrba belongs to a higher one.

The conflict arose later. After a planned search, hidden phones were found in the room, and one of Agrba's men accused Danielius of allegedly reporting the stash to the guards.

A few days later, Agrba demanded 1500 euros from Danielius — an amount equivalent to the price of three phones under prison conditions.

After obtaining a court sanction, prison staff began to listen to inmates' conversations. In the recordings, Agrba and his associates accused Danielius of cooperating with the administration and threatened that he would be transferred to the "roosters" — a prison euphemism for the lowest caste.

Danielius, who has no relatives, stated that he could get the money through the Embassy of Belarus — and, feeling a threat to his life, appealed to the guards.

Agrba does not admit his guilt. He told the guards: "I only know about this person from the press — that he was convicted of espionage for Belarus, so as a Lithuanian patriot, I find it shameful and unacceptable to deal with such a person." At the same time, according to the prosecution, it was Agrba who systematically psychologically pressured Danielius, set deadlines for transferring money through third parties, and also demanded that he buy him a mobile phone.

After the incident was revealed, Danielius was transferred to another prison to ensure his safety.
