Kyiv resident covered himself in tar naked to rob a store at night. It took five hours to clean him
In Kyiv, a man covered himself in tar to become "unnoticeable" in the dark and rob a store. Police officers detained him, cleaned him, and initiated a criminal case, writes "Ukrainska Pravda".

The incident occurred on the night of August 13 in a grocery supermarket in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The offender was detained by patrol police officers.
According to the investigation, the 26-year-old local resident decided to rob the store using an unusual method of disguise. For this, he climbed into a barrel of tar, which was on a construction site, hoping to blend in with the darkness.

After that, the man kicked open a glass door and entered the premises, where he put cigarettes, juice, sweets, oranges, grapefruits, and wet wipes into a bag. The facility's security guards prevented him from taking more, and he fled from them.

But the offender did not stop there, police say – on his way home, he began throwing stones at the windows of a lyceum. At that moment, law enforcement officers detained him with a bag of stolen goods.

"However, the hardest part of the job awaited the police afterwards. To send the man to the police department and question him – he had to be cleaned. For this, law enforcement officers spent more than five hours, shoe brushes, 12 liters of oil, and 4 liters of detergent.

Investigators of the Sviatoshynskyi Police Department informed him about the initiation of a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 186 and Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – robbery and hooliganism," reports the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
