In an agrotown near Slonim, the post office, consumer services center, and pharmacy have closed. Just recently, authorities boasted about caring for residents

The situation was reported in a city public group by one of the local residents. According to him, opportunities to receive basic services directly in the agrotown are diminishing.

Another problem was the bad weather on July 18. Due to heavy rain and wind, the roof of the local store, which also housed the only pharmacy, was torn off. A month has passed, but it is still not working.

After residents' appeal, the Slonim District Executive Committee announced that the building is currently being restored. The roof is being repaired and strengthened, and employees of the Slonim branch of the Grodno Regional Consumer Society are simultaneously tidying up the interior premises. Officials promise to complete the work by September 1.

However, in the comments, residents pointed out that the list of Dzyareunaya's problems is much broader: "You listed it too modestly," "And also the closure of the outpatient clinic, kindergarten."

Others recall what infrastructure the agrotown once had: "Such a village it once was — it had a hospital, and now? There isn't even a pharmacy. What is the chairman of the village council looking at?"

Meanwhile, in recent months, the Slonim District Executive Committee and the district newspaper practically did not report on the accumulated problems of Dzyareunaya. The last notable publication about the agrotown appeared on May 8 — and it looked completely different.

At that time, a new sports ground was ceremonially opened here. The chairman of the district Council of Deputies, Aleh Tarhonski, came to the event, cut the symbolic ribbon, and the district newspaper called the appearance of the exercise equipment "a vivid testament to the care and support of the agrotown's population" and an example of interaction between business, authorities, and residents.

Three months later, the picture looks much less celebratory. A sports ground did indeed appear in Dzyareunaya, but at the same time, residents talk about a closed post office, consumer services center, outpatient clinic, and kindergarten, and the only pharmacy has not been working for a month after roof damage. Until the people themselves made an appeal, practically nothing was mentioned about these problems in the official picture of the agrotown's life.
