Reinforcements of the new bridge across the Dnieper in Mogilev were washed away after this year's heavy rains PHOTOS
A photojournalist for "MogilevOnline" drew attention to the condition of the slopes near the new bridge from the side of Fatina Street, not far from the Yubileiny microdistrict. Back in spring, the concrete slabs there looked secure, but now part of the structures has slid down.
Probably, one of the reasons could be the heavy rains that occurred in the region. The concrete slabs on the slopes have shifted and now lie in piles in the sand. Along with them, the soil itself has begun to crumble — part of the embankment is sliding down onto the path under the bridge.
At the same time, the human factor is not excluded. Many traces and litter are noticeable under the reinforcements, so it is possible that individual elements may have been damaged as a result of vandalism.
In any case, the condition of the slopes raises questions, so it is expected that the responsible services will pay attention to this and restore the reinforcements to proper condition.
