Another corner of the private sector will soon disappear in Minsk. A residential complex will be built here
These old houses next to the "Korona" hypermarket have been waiting for their time for a long time. And now, it seems, the process has begun. The Telegram channel "Minsk and Minsk resident" noticed that the private sector island in the area of Kalvaryjskaja and Tanka streets has entered the resettlement stage. Realt.by journalists visited the site and confirm: demolition has indeed begun.

Today, the village houses look quite contrasting against the backdrop of a huge hypermarket and multi-story buildings. Previously, this entire territory, of which only two small streets remain, was occupied by the private sector.

Most of the houses in Slaŭny Lane and on Maksim Tank Street have already said goodbye to their owners. The buildings stand with boarded-up windows or no windows at all. Owners try to remove everything valuable, including building materials from the dismantling of the estates, before the start of large-scale work.

Some semblance of life flickers only in a few houses. And even there – people aren't living, but gathering their last belongings. From a brief conversation with local residents, journalists learned that they have already received compensation for their homes and are now moving their property.

So what will be built in place of the private sector? This plot itself is not very large, but its location is excellent. Nearby are the metro, shops, an electric train station, and Niamiha can be reached on foot. It's not surprising that urban planners have long had plans for this corner.

However, if about 10 years ago there was talk of building offices, now information has appeared (also confirmed by local residents) that housing will be built on the site of the old houses.

As the Telegram channel "Lithuanian on housing" wrote, a complex of multi-story buildings with "fantastic towers" may appear in the area of Kalvaryjskaja – Cimirazieva. However, there have been no official reports about new construction. The status of the land plots on the cadastral map has not changed yet either.
