Public readings of Mickiewicz's «Dziady» held in Warsaw. Belarusians also participated
On September 5, public readings of Adam Mickiewicz's poem «Dziady» took place in Warsaw. Belarusian actors Aliaksei Saprykin and Bazhena Shamovich also took part in the event, which was held in the center of the Polish capital near the monument to the poet, writes Reform.news.

The event was part of the all-Polish «National Reading» campaign. This is an annual cultural initiative during which works of Polish literary classics are publicly read throughout Poland. This year, «Dziady» by Adam Mickiewicz was chosen for the campaign — a work that has a close connection with Belarusian cultural tradition.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya also attended the event in Warsaw at the invitation of Polish President Karol Nawrocki. During the ceremony, among other things, a monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Minsk was shown on screens.
