Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps cargo plane frequently visits Minsk
A heavy cargo Boeing 747 of Qeshm Fars Air with tail number EP-FAB has arrived in Minsk for the third time in the past few weeks. The airline and its aircraft have been under US sanctions since 2019 for cooperation with the IRGC in arms supplies.
According to Flightradar24 service data, the aircraft departed from Tehran at 1:00 AM UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and arrived in Minsk at 6:18 AM, Reform.news writes.
Prior to this, the plane had arrived in Minsk on August 26. On August 27, EP-FAB departed from Minsk and made an almost five-hour flight over Russian territory, then returned to the Belarusian capital again. The next day, August 28, it flew to Tehran. The maneuvers of the Iranian "freighter" attracted the attention of Ukrainian media.
The cargo Boeing 747-281F(SCD) with tail number EP-FAB belongs to the Iranian cargo airline Qeshm Fars Air.
On January 24, 2019, OFAC added Qeshm Fars Air and two of its Boeing 747s, including EP-FAB, to the sanctions list. The U.S. Treasury Department states that the carrier was controlled by Mahan Air and operated cargo flights on behalf of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including delivering weapons and other military equipment to Syria.
