Women's forum with Hakamada in Minsk postponed. And her name disappeared from announcements
Official reason — the date coincided with City Day.
On September 12 in Minsk, it was planned to organize a large women's forum «PROtebya: new frontier». The headliner was supposed to be Russian business lecturer Irina Hakamada — a former opposition politician.
She was going to give a lecture on types of energy, and several other business coaches and motivational speakers were invited to join her, as well as pseudoscientist Katrina Ar'ye with a talk on additional dimensions.
The event was planned to be held at Falcon Club Arena — according to the forum's website, that hall is designed for 2 thousand people.
It recently became known that the forum will not take place on September 12. The organizers announced this in their statement, in which they explain the postponement of the event by a «combination of factors» and name «an important public holiday» as one of them:
«On this day, when it was planned, we will, unfortunately, not gather you. But on this date, the entire capital will celebrate Minsk City Day.
Our event is not canceled. We are only changing the date and slightly modifying the speaker lineup for enhancement».
What's happening with the speaker lineup? Judging by the forum's website, only headliner Irina Hakamada has disappeared from it — now, instead of her, a new speaker is promised, whose name will be revealed soon. The organizers have also temporarily stopped accepting ticket payments.
The forum's Instagram account now shows a new date: the forum will take place on October 25.
Over the past couple of weeks, propagandists have mentioned the forum several times in their channels. They were particularly interested in Hakamada's former political activity — «a fierce hater of Lukashenka».
