"Threatened to go to another". The Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed details of the murder of a 43-year-old pregnant woman by a hockey referee

The "Na Straze" text does not name the deceased or the perpetrator. But it refers to the high-profile case of the murder of a 43-year-old pregnant woman.

Tatsiana Martishchanka disappeared on September 8. On September 11, 38-year-old former hockey player and hockey referee Aliaksei Hauryalyonak was detained on suspicion of the crime.

According to Andrei Piatrovich, head of the Department of Criminal Investigations of the Minsk City Executive Committee's Main Internal Affairs Directorate, after the disappearance of the 43-year-old pregnant woman became known, investigators quickly established her circle of friends and acquaintances. Special attention was focused on those who were allowed into her home. A 38-year-old resident of the capital fell under suspicion, who was in a close relationship with the missing woman and was friends with her daughter. Moreover, according to the family's information, the woman was pregnant by him.

During the first conversation with criminal investigation operatives, the man behaved completely calmly.

"He reported that he last spoke with the woman on Tuesday (possibly referring to Tuesday, September 8, the day when relatives reported the disappearance of the Minsk resident. — Ed. note), and on her behalf, delivered a bag of medicines to a customer. After that, [according to him], she allegedly went to several scheduled meetings herself. And when she suddenly stopped responding, he sent her a touching message in a messenger saying that he was worried and missed her," said Vladimir Kubrakov, Deputy Head of the Central District Department of Internal Affairs - Head of Criminal Police.

The story with the medicines was not confirmed. After a thorough check, other information provided by the man also turned out to be false. Therefore, the security forces decided to investigate him more closely.

According to the publication, the man's life seemed to follow a normal schedule: home, business trips, a visit to relatives outside the city. One detail was unusual in this routine: at a construction hypermarket on the Minsk Ring Road, he bought a shovel.

"The more clarifying questions the Minsk resident received, the stronger his voice trembled, he stammered," says Andrei Bakhar, head of the department for solving particularly grave and serious crimes against individuals of the Criminal Police Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee. "And in a conversation with operatives, he confessed: he knows where the missing woman is. More precisely, where her body is."

According to "Na Straze", the man confessed that the couple was together that morning. As he was making a salad in the kitchen, his partner once again brought up their future, as they would soon become parents. Then the woman threatened to go to another man. It was jealousy, as the suspect confessed, that became the trigger. With the same knife he had just used to cut vegetables for breakfast, he inflicted no less than 15 wounds on the pregnant woman.

The woman tried to resist, but to no avail.

After that, the man left the murdered woman in the bathroom and left. A couple of hours later, he visited a store where he bought a shovel.

"The next day, the Minsk resident returned to the apartment, most likely then washing away the traces in the kitchen and bathroom," "Na Straze" reports. "He immediately got rid of the knife - threw it into a container in the yard. He folded his bloodied T-shirt and dirty towel into a suitcase and took them to the car, to later throw them into a random dumpster on Koltsov Street. He placed the body in a large black bag and put it in the trunk, having previously put a plastic bag over the victim's head."

The suspect then continued to live according to his standard routine - work, lunch. And only when it got dark, he drove out of the city. Along the way, he threw the murdered woman's smartphone and apartment keys into the river, drove into the first available yard and "dumped" the plastic suitcase with evidence.

"The suspect headed down a road he knew well. He said that near Lahoysk, he turned into the forest, left the car, and walked into the thicket, where he dug a shallow pit," Andrei Bakhar reports.

Later, he returned for the bag and started wandering: as he claims, he couldn't even immediately remember where he had dug the woman's grave a few minutes earlier, "Na Straze" writes. The publication reports that when the man returns here again, but already accompanied by a convoy and an investigative-operational group, he will also search for the burial site for a long time.

"Operatives found a T-shirt with brownish stains in his car, which, apparently, fell out of the suitcase and remained unnoticed on the mat (despite the fact that the suspect vacuumed his 'Ford' and gave it to his brother for use on Tuesday). A bag with biological traces of the victim was also found. The man cynically took it home, where he lived with his family," Vladimir Kubrakov reveals details. "And around the same time, he cleared his correspondence and wrote a message to the murdered woman saying that he was worried and awaiting a meeting."

At the same time, law enforcement officials emphasize: they only know what happened in the apartment from the man's words, and he himself is confused in some moments. To reconstruct the events of that day minute by minute, many additional measures, investigations, and examinations will be carried out. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
