Two Lieutenant Colonels and Two Majors Killed in Tu-95MS Bomber Crash in Russia
The crash of a Russian strategic missile carrier in the Far East has resulted in the loss of high-ranking command personnel from the Russian Air Force. Among the eight casualties, officers responsible for organizing and carrying out massive strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have been identified.

The crash occurred on September 29, 2026, near the village of Chervonoyarovo in the Amur Oblast. The Tu-95MS aircraft belonged to the 182nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment (military unit 75715, 'Ukrainka' airbase). According to the official version from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the bomber was conducting a planned training flight without ammunition, and the accident was caused by a mid-air fuel explosion.
Initially, Russian authorities reported six casualties; however, the local publication 'Port Amur' clarified that nine individuals were on board: one was injured, and eight servicemen died.
As reported by the publication 'Espreso,' citing the OSINT group DUKE BG,
the crew included two lieutenant colonels and two majors. At least three of them were directly involved in the methodological support and execution of orders for launching cruise missiles at civilian targets in Ukraine.
Identification of Deceased Commanders
According to monitoring resources and investigators' databases, one of the deceased was 43-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Fyodor Pavlyukov. He held the position of deputy commander of the 182nd regiment for flight training and previously commanded a squadron. Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate had added Pavlyukov to its list of war criminals for his personal involvement in organizing air attacks.
The second identified officer is 40-year-old Major Andrey Lobanov, deputy commander of an aviation squadron in the same regiment. Researchers confirmed his personal involvement in combat sorties; specifically, on May 29, 2023, he commanded a Tu-95MS that launched six cruise missiles at critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. The third individual identified was 36-year-old Major Andrey Gerasimov, squadron commander of the 121st regiment from the Engels airbase, who also participated in delivering mass strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
From February 2022 to August 2025 alone, Russian strategic aviation, utilizing Tu-95MS and Tu-160 aircraft, launched 2,354 cruise missiles of types Kh-101, Kh-555, and Kh-55SM at Ukraine. The Russian side has yet to publicly release the official list of all those killed aboard the Amur aircraft.
