«A Million Thanks to Everyone». Pavel Belavus Wrote His First Post on Facebook After Release
Symbal.by creator Pavel Belavus, who was released on September 15 along with 24 other Belarusian political prisoners, wrote on Facebook his first post after his release, thanking everyone who supported him throughout his imprisonment.
«Almost 5 years have passed. Hello, friends!
First of all, I want to say a million thanks to everyone who wrote, helped, worried, supported, encouraged, inspired, believed, was there in difficult moments, and gave me hope to believe that they remember me and would not leave me there for all 13 years.
Over these years, in different cells and different institutions, I met an incredible number of wonderful people who supported me and whom I supported. Some of them are already free, and many are still imprisoned.
And although it seems difficult, it seems tiresome, it is worth remembering that these people, like me, live for years every day with the hope that they have not been forgotten, that they will be helped to be released sooner.
Therefore, another huge thank you to all volunteers and organizations who daily continue this difficult and important work», — wrote Pavel Belavus.
