Former teacher disgracefully expelled from a concert in Minsk Gymnasium No. 4. It was dedicated to Teacher's Day
Minsk resident Tatiana, who wanted to wait for her daughter after a concert at the gymnasium, cries when she talks about the public humiliation by the director.

The Belarusian woman shared the outrageous incident on Threads. Tatyana's daughter studies at the capital's Gymnasium No. 4. The woman says that she usually doesn't enter the educational institution — she waits for her child outside to then take her to clubs or home. The last time Tatyana was in the gymnasium building was when Maslenitsa (Shrovetide) was celebrated.
But on Friday, Tatyana waited for her daughter for an hour — a concert dedicated to Teacher's Day was taking place at the gymnasium. At some point, the woman asked the doorman to let her into the hall. The mother, who herself was previously a Belarusian language teacher, saw nothing wrong with watching a children's concert.

The director of the gymnasium, former official Andrei Hotsman, turned the celebration into a circus.

"The director publicly expelled me. He led me out of the hall, saying: 'I'm calling security now.' The director of the 4th gymnasium. I said: 'I am your ex-colleague, I worked as a Belarusian language teacher at a school.' I didn't expect them to [call] security on me. He also said that I insulted him. No, I said: 'No, go watch. And I'll go myself. You don't need to expel me in the Year of the Belarusian Woman, a teacher…'," — Tatyana swallows tears as she recalls the disrespect.

According to Tatyana, the director asked her if she knew that parents were forbidden to enter the gymnasium. She replied that she indeed did not know about such a strict prohibition.
The post went viral. In the comments, other people were, to put it mildly, surprised by the director's behavior: "Last year was the gymnasium's anniversary. Former teachers were not invited. I worked there for 21 years."
Tatyana received a lot of support.
