"I took the opportunity to express my gratitude to the governing structures of the EU for their assistance to Ukraine," the politician wrote.
"I had a meeting with official representatives of the EU in our country. I took the opportunity to express my gratitude to the governing structures of the EU for their assistance to Ukraine and solidarity with the enslaved countries of our region," wrote Mikalai Statkevich on his Telegram channel.
"Current regional wars (the defensive one in Ukraine and the cold civil one in our country) are primarily wars for values, where the forces of freedom confront the forces of tyranny. In these wars, not only the fate of the region and the continent will be decided, but also the future of the entire planet. Support from the free world, in which the EU plays the most significant role, shows that we are not alone in our struggle, that the forces of freedom in the world outweigh the forces of tyranny. And that, ultimately, freedom will defeat slavery. Belarus will be free!" — added Statkevich.
