A citizen of Belarus sustained serious injuries as a result of a drone attack on a cargo vehicle with Belarusian registration plates, which occurred on October 8 in Russia's Bryansk region. This was reported by Ruslan Varankou, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The injured person required surgical operation, during which her limbs were amputated. The woman is currently in intensive care in a very serious, but stabilized condition and is connected to a mechanical ventilator. Medical assistance is being provided to her in full.
Ruslan Varankou noted that similar tragic incidents continue.
According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus had previously warned citizens about the increased danger and recommended refraining from trips to this region, however, these warnings were not properly heeded.
Today's incident, according to the department, confirms the relevance of such a recommendation.
