Kremlin: Putin told Trump he would consider when to resume Ukraine talks
"With drone attacks on Moscow on the day of the State Duma elections, Kyiv thwarted the possibility of an immediate resumption of the negotiation process," said Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a phone conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump, said that he would consider when to resume negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict after Kyiv's massive drone attack on Moscow on the day of the State Duma elections. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters about this, writes the Moscow Times.
"It was specifically noted that while during the previous conversation between the two presidents there was talk of the possibility of resuming trilateral negotiations with the participation of the USA and Ukraine immediately after the State Duma elections, now the situation is different. By attempting to disrupt our elections, by launching an extremely massive drone attack on Moscow, other cities, and polling stations, targeting specific individuals involved in organizing the elections, on the main voting day, the Kyiv regime, in essence, thwarted the possibility of an immediate resumption of the negotiation process," Ushakov said.
"And now, as the president said, we will consider when these negotiations can be resumed. Donald Trump listened carefully to our arguments and said that he would instruct to convey the relevant signals to the Ukrainian delegation, which is currently in Miami for contacts with American representatives."
Shortly before Ushakov's briefing, the presidents of the Russian Federation and the USA announced an agreement on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the American and global markets.
According to Ushakov, Putin and Trump discussed the preparation of "large-scale economic initiatives," as well as the settlement of the conflict around Iran.
"Our proposal for the removal of highly enriched Iranian uranium to Russia as a possible way out of the impasse remains valid. It is noteworthy that Donald Trump did not leave this remark unnoticed, welcoming Moscow's participation in resolving the situation around Iran," Ushakov said.
