On the night of October 10, Ukrainian drones attacked Rostov Oblast. The target of the attack was the oil terminal of the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant.

Eyewitnesses report a large-scale fire and explosions.
The projected capacity of the terminal, previously called "South of Russia," is about 2.5 million tons of petroleum products per year. It is used for transshipment of fuel for export and to supply fuel to the Russian armed forces, which continue the war against Ukraine.

Rostov Oblast Governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed the attack by more than 50 drones and a fire in the regional center. According to his Telegram post, one person was injured, multi-apartment buildings were damaged in several areas, and residents of some buildings were evacuated.
Additionally, train traffic was halted due to damage to a railway bridge.
