Forecaster Dmitry Ryabov told what weather awaits Belarus from October 12 to 18 under the influence of a cyclone from the Baltic Sea.
According to him, since the beginning of the second decade of October, cyclones have become more frequent in the country, bringing gusty winds and light rain. Due to high humidity, the weather will feel quite damp.
On Monday, October 12, the weather will be influenced by a cyclone centered over the Baltic Sea and its atmospheric fronts. Short-term rains and fogs are expected. Overnight it will be from +4 degrees in the north to +11 in the south, during the day — from +11 in the northwest to +17 in the southeast of the country.
On Tuesday, October 13, it will be cloudy with clearings, with possible rains in places. Overnight temperatures will be from +3 to +8 degrees, during the day — from +12 in the Vitebsk region to +16 in the south of the Brest and Gomel regions.
On Wednesday, October 14, Belarus will be on the outskirts of an anticyclone centered over southwestern Europe. No significant precipitation is expected, however, air humidity will reach 90%. Dense fogs are possible at night and in the morning. Overnight temperatures will be from +3 to +7 degrees, during the day — from +9 in the northwest to +14 in the south of the Gomel region.
Previously, in the second half of the working week, the weather will be determined by an area of high atmospheric pressure.
On Thursday, October 15, predominantly cloudy weather with clearings is expected, mostly without rain. Overnight temperatures will drop to +3…+8 degrees, during the day it will be from +10 in the Vitebsk region to +17 in the Gomel region.
On Friday, October 16, no significant precipitation is also forecasted. Dense fogs are possible at night and in the morning, visibility may decrease to 500 meters. Overnight temperatures will be from +5 to +10 degrees, during the day — from +11 in the north to +16 in the southwest of the country.
Over the weekend, a wide anticyclone centered over northern Europe will arrive in Belarus.
On Saturday, October 17, it will be cloudy, without significant precipitation. Fogs are again expected at night and in the morning, temperatures will be from +3 to +7 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up to +10 in northern Belarus and up to +16 in the south.
On Sunday, October 18, the influence of the anticyclone will persist. It will be cloudy with clearings, almost without rain. Fogs are possible at night and in the morning, temperatures — from +4 to +9 degrees. During the day, about +11 is expected in the Vitebsk region, and up to +17 degrees in the Gomel and Brest regions.
