The list of professions for which foreigners can be easily hired has been updated
From January 1, 2027, the list of professions for which foreigners and stateless persons without a permanent residence permit in the country can be hired under a simplified procedure will change in Belarus. The corresponding resolution of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
In 2025, the list included 41 blue-collar professions and 18 white-collar positions. For 2026, it was reduced to 29 blue-collar professions and 18 white-collar positions. In 2027, the list will change again: it will contain 31 blue-collar professions and 16 white-collar positions.
Among the changes in the list of blue-collar professions, instead of "driver," "car driver" and "forklift driver" were included. The "track layer" was excluded from the list, but "poultry farm and mechanized farm operator" as well as "tractor driver" were added.
The list of white-collar positions will no longer include midwives and paramedics.
When hiring foreigners for professions and positions included in the list, employers only need to inform the internal affairs bodies. In other cases, a special permit must be obtained, and it must be proven that the vacancy cannot be filled by citizens of Belarus or foreigners with a permanent residence permit.
In July, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed including intern doctors, pharmacists, and representatives of some other professions in the list of scarce specialties. However, these specialties have not yet been included in the list.
