Starting in the new year, travel to Georgia will only be possible with medical insurance.
Georgia has changed the entry rules for foreigners, including Belarusians. Starting from January 1, 2026, it will be mandatory to have health insurance when entering the country. This is stipulated by amendments to the Georgian law "On Tourism".

After the introduction of the new rules, the insurance policy will need to be shown at the border.
The policy must be valid for the entire period of stay in Georgia and cover a minimum set of medical expenses: at least $5,000 for emergency outpatient care and at least $30,000 for inpatient treatment. This should include accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, medical evacuation and repatriation.
Georgia was going to introduce such innovations as early as June 1, 2024, but then postponed them for a year and a half.
