Gomel recidivist attacked people in stairwells, and then attacked Ukraine. The outcome?
43-year-old Sergei Sakalouski was repeatedly convicted for attacking people in stairwells with accomplices, beating them and stealing valuable items — regardless of whether the victim was a man or a woman.

One of the photos taken during his lifetime, which Sakalouski sent to his younger brother Alexander
Sakalouski last contacted his relatives back in December 2025, after which he disappeared and was listed by the command of unit 11741 as missing in action.
Sakalouski fought in an assault company of the Russian army near the city of Lyman — and most likely died. Lists of prisoners of war are published by the Ukrainian side, and Sakalouski's surname was not on them.
Sergei Sakalouski was repeatedly convicted for robberies in Gomel and was a chronic alcoholic.
According to Belpol, his criminal activity began in 2006 — he broke a shop window and stole property. Then, together with accomplices, he attacked people in stairwells, taking money and valuable items. He was on the run. Then he attacked in stairwells again. Later he was arrested and received a sentence in a penal colony.
