Snow build-up and black ice are observed on the roads. The State Traffic Inspectorate is taking additional measures for road safety and urges citizens to exercise maximum caution on unpredictable winter roads.

In conditions of heavy precipitation, it is recommended to limit travel as much as possible. Drive at a speed safe for the specific section, increase distance and lateral interval, and turn on low beam headlights.
The Traffic Police recommends accelerating, braking, and steering smoothly. Before starting to drive, clear the car of snow, fill the windshield washer reservoir with non-freezing liquid, and ensure the proper functioning of lighting devices and the cabin heating system.
In case of a forced stop on the roadway, try to mark the car in accordance with traffic rules and leave it as soon as possible.
Pedestrians must use high-visibility clothing, reflectors, cross the road only in permitted places, and only after ensuring safety. All road users should be predictable to others and anticipate the actions of those around them.
