Last night the air temperature dropped to minus 31°C

That was the temperature at Poleska station

In Minsk it was minus 28°C, in Babruysk region at 07:40 it was minus 30°C

Interestingly, in the north of Belarus it was «only» minus 22°C, while to the northwest of Vilnius it was actually minus 34°C.

Situation at 10:20 AM

Thus, this winter's record has been broken. On January 14, at the «Vialiki Miežnik» station in the Shklov district, it was minus 29.7°C.

The cold will last for a few more days, this weekend it should be minus five to seven degrees Celsius, then it will get colder again.
