A spa hotel to appear near Minsk on the site of a former Soviet pioneer camp
Once, on the banks of the Isloch river, 25 kilometers from Minsk, there was a children's camp «Arlanyа». Soon after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the children's institution closed, and its territory passed to a new owner. Over the past decades, several buildings have appeared on the site, including residential cottages (which, it turned out, were not entirely legal). Now the former camp is awaiting global reconstruction — a new hotel with a modern thermal complex is planned to be built here, writes Realt.by.

The projected site is located in the village of Zvinyachy, Haransky Rural Council. These places are familiar to many Minsk residents: nearby are the Isloch river and the Aksakovshchina rehabilitation center.

During Soviet times, this site housed the children's camp «Arlanyа», and in the 2000s, the territory of the health institution became the property of HD «Zhdanovichi». The owners of the capital's largest shopping complex acquired about 13 hectares of land for «servicing a recreation base».

A tourist facility indeed appeared in Zvinyachy. A complex with a bathhouse, fishing, and other entertainment began operating here. However, the owners decided to use part of the recreational area for the construction of residential cottages, which turned out to be illegal.

The prosecutor's office intervened in the matter, and after a series of court cases, the disputed lands reverted to the Minsk district. In 2022, the territory with cottages and other buildings was put up for auction. And now it has become known that the existing buildings are planned to be reconstructed into a recreational facility (a recreation base).

The project client is the company «Corporation Volma Bel», which specializes in the production of building materials. The architectural concept of the complex was developed by the studio «Arch-Nouvo». The developers propose creating a comfortable space on the banks of the Isloch river, maximally integrated into the unique natural landscape, for wellness and recreation.

It is noted that the new concept provides not only for the reconstruction of existing buildings with a change in their functional purpose (referring to those very cottages), but also for the construction of a new hotel with a modern thermal complex.

Public discussion of the project will take place from February 16 to March 2. It can be reviewed electronically on the website of the Minsk District Executive Committee, and in print at the Haransky Village Executive Committee. A presentation will also be organized for all interested parties, which will take place in the kindergarten building in the village of Traskovshchina on February 25 at 17:00. After the discussion concludes, all materials will be considered by the architectural and urban planning council.
