With a New Belarus passport, one will be able to vote in the elections to the Coordination Council

On March 2, the Election Commission of the Coordination Council determined the list of documents with which one can participate in the elections to the Coordination Council, which will take place this May.

Voting will be allowed with both a valid and an expired Belarusian citizen's passport, as well as with a New Belarus passport.

According to the chairwoman of the election commission, Alena Prykhodzka, this decision was made to ensure the possibility of participation in the elections for those Belarusians who are left without documents. In particular, this refers to people recently released from Belarusian prisons and forcibly deported, often without passports.

Elections to the fourth convocation of the Coordination Council are scheduled for May 11-17.
