"War is already complicated enough." Trump forbade Kurds from invading Iran
US President Donald Trump rejected the idea of involving Kurdish armed formations in a military operation against the Iranian regime. He stated this to journalists aboard Air Force One on Sunday, March 8.

According to Trump, Kurdish units were ready to enter Iranian territory, but he personally ordered them not to.
"I told them I didn't want that. The war is already complicated enough without involving the Kurds," the president emphasized.
The American leader explained his decision by the risk of complete chaos in the region. Washington fears that Kurdish participation could provoke not just a change of power, but a large-scale civil war in Iran, which would push other ethnic groups to rebellions for autonomy. This could turn Iran into a "territory of unmanageable explosion."
Trump also stated that he no longer needed military assistance from Great Britain in the Middle East, as the US, in his opinion, had already won the war against Iran.
According to Iranian state media reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has already launched a series of strikes on Kurdish positions in Iraqi Kurdistan. Tehran has promised to crush any groups that attempt to encroach on the country's territorial integrity.
