Honorary Citizen of Baranavichy and Former Director of «Atlant» Branch Passes Away
Uladzimir Rashatko was a well-known person in Baranavichy.

Vladimir Reshetko, former director of the Baranavichy Machine-Tool Plant (branch of «Atlant»), honorary citizen of Baranavichy, has died.
He was born on October 22, 1951, in Baranavichy. In 1969, he went to the reinforced concrete products factory of the construction trust No. 25. After serving in the army, he returned home and worked for some time as a repairman at the cotton mill. In 1977, he graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute with a degree in «mechanical engineering technology, metal-cutting machine tools and instruments» and was sent to the Baranavichy Automatic Lines Plant. He went from foreman to shop foreman.
On April 1, 1986, he was appointed director of a new enterprise in Baranavichy — the machine-tool plant. Reshetko dedicated 28 years to it.
For his significant contribution to improving production efficiency, Vladimir Reshetko was awarded the honorary title «Honored Worker of Industry of the Republic of Belarus» in 1994. The director of the Baranavichy Machine-Tool Plant also received the Order of Honor and the Order of the Fatherland III degree, and was named «Person of the Year» of Baranavichy in the field of industry.
During his time, the «Chabarok» sanatorium, the «Atlant» sports complex, and new trade and catering enterprises appeared.
A passionate sports fan, he created a volleyball club.
Vladimir Reshetko was also awarded the title «Honorary Citizen of the City of Baranavichy».
The farewell ceremony will be held on March 8, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky.
