The Israeli Air Force struck Imam Hussein University in northeastern Tehran, an institution that trains officers for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The strike was announced by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
According to Israeli intelligence, several military facilities used by the IRGC are located on the university's territory.
"This facility was a legitimate military target in accordance with the laws of armed conflict, given its nature, use, and purpose," the statement said.
During the airstrike, Israel also targeted underground infrastructure used for storing ballistic missiles, the IDF added.
More than 80 aircraft participated in the operation.
