A Belarusian woman who makes brooches in the form of girls with red-green kokoshniks genuinely doesn't understand why she's criticized

The craftswoman from Salihorsk genuinely considers her creations beautiful because they are in the colors of the official flag. And as a defense against haters, she made keychains in the shape of phalluses.

Katsiaryna Kruk makes jewelry from epoxy resin with dried plants. Like many craftswomen, she tries to promote her products through TikTok.

Unexpectedly, the items most actively discussed by social media users were brooches and pendants in the form of girls with green-red kokoshniks.

Many people wrote to Katsiaryna saying that this was a strange combination, as it was unclear what kokoshniks had to do with Belarus. The craftswoman saw this criticism as hate and recorded a video expressing her outrage. However, she believes the problem is not so much with the kokoshniks, but with them being in the colors of the official flag.

She says she has learned that craftswomen who make things in red-green colors face insults.

Katsiaryna responds quite aggressively to absolutely neutral comments such as: "The song is beautiful, but there were no kokoshniks in Belarusian culture." And she asks commentators if they are not receiving money for their criticism.

@kruk.smola Why are you so triggered? What is this hatred? Are you getting paid for your criticism?2
