The State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus presented the new GPM-72 tracked fire fighting vehicle. It is called a "fire tank" because the equipment has an armored body and can operate in conditions of increased danger.
The development is intended for extinguishing fires of the 4th class of complexity — for example, at industrial facilities, warehouses with flammable materials or ammunition. The armor protects the crew from possible explosions and fragments.

Barysaŭ enterprises are involved in the creation of the new vehicle. The equipment was developed jointly by Pozhsnab LLC and 140 Repair Plant JSC, both located in Barysaŭ.
The machine received a tracked chassis, so it can move through difficult terrain — for example, in forests or on destroyed territories.

During operation, it can deliver water using a special aqua-mast up to six meters high.
The equipment is also equipped with a powerful pump capable of pumping up to 2500 liters of liquid per minute, and the tank volume is up to 10 tons of water. The pumping unit can also work with foam concentrate — its capacity reaches 4000 liters per minute.
