At the Afipsky Oil Refinery, technical installations caught fire as a result of the shelling, but no one was injured. In Port Kavkaz in the Temryuk district, a technical vessel was damaged and a fire broke out at the pier, injuring three people.
The Afipsky Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil processing enterprises in southern Russia. It produces gasoline, diesel fuel, gas condensate distillates, heavy oil products, and sulfur. The main owner of the plant since 2019 is "Oil Technologies" (a "Safmar" structure). The plant had previously suffered attacks in January and November 2025.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 87 Ukrainian drones were "intercepted and destroyed" over Russian regions that night. The majority – 31 UAVs – were shot down over the Sea of Azov, another 16 over Krasnodar Krai, 8 over annexed Crimea, 7 over Bryansk Oblast, 6 each over Belgorod Oblast and the Black Sea, and 5 over Rostov Oblast. Other drones were intercepted over Samara, Kursk, Astrakhan, Volgograd, and Tula Oblasts.
Due to the attack, aircraft arrivals and departures were temporarily restricted in Krasnodar and Gelendzhik.
