The essence of this scheme: some money suddenly arrives in a person's account. And after some time, a message supposedly from a random sender arrives: "Sorry, wrong number, please return it."

After that, various forms of pressure may begin on the person. The supposed owner of the money complains that they urgently need it, that it is credit money, and that they have already contacted the bank.
If the person succumbs to persuasion and returns the money, they become involved in a fraudulent scheme: these funds were stolen from someone else's card, and their card was used as an intermediary link.
Therefore, the police advise: upon receiving such a message, you should immediately contact your bank and act only according to their instructions.
It is important to inform relatives about the scheme, especially elderly people — one mistake can lead to big problems.
