Users for whom message privacy is important are advised to switch to the WhatsApp messenger, where this message protection system remains.
Currently, information about the upcoming changes has only been published in Instagram's Help Center.
Users whose chats were protected by end-to-end encryption are advised to download their conversations and media files in advance. The company also stated that instructions on how to save messages and files will soon appear within the chats themselves.
