In Baraŭliany near Minsk, residents noticed an unusual and dangerous situation in one of the courtyards: sparks began to fly from a snowdrift, and the snow occasionally ignited. Eyewitnesses filmed this and published it in the local chat, a local Telegram channel reported .

At first, it might have seemed that firecrackers were exploding in the snow, but the reason turned out to be different.
It later became clear that an electrical cable had broken, which caused the dangerous situation.
Residents immediately reported the incident on social media, after which the relevant services quickly responded. Approximately 35 minutes after the video was published, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) and telecommunications services arrived at the scene. Specialists repaired the broken cable.
