Over the past day, the opening and clearing of rivers from ice continued, BelTA was told by Belgidromet.
As of March 11, ice drift, ice cover with meltwater and open water, and in some places uplifted ice are observed on most rivers of the Dvina basin, on the Dnieper and Sozh, on most of the Berezina, Pripyat, some of their tributaries, as well as on individual sections of the Neman and Viliya.
On individual sections of rivers in the Dnieper, Berezina, Sozh, and Pripyat basins, ice-free conditions are noted. On the Vileika, Chigirin, Salihorsk, Zaslavskoye, Chervonaya Slabada reservoirs, and on lakes Narach, Dryvyaty, Chervonaye, and Lukomskaye, ice cover and ice cover with meltwater are observed, water on the ice is noted, and going out onto the ice is dangerous," Belgidromet warned.
On the rivers, a predominant rise in water levels is observed with an intensity of 1-13 cm per day, on the rivers of the Dvina basin - up to 42 cm per day.
On the Viliya near Vileika and the Neman near the agro-town Belitsa, due to ice jams, a drop in water levels is observed with a daily intensity of 22 cm and 46 cm, respectively.
Water is on the floodplain on the Viliya near the agro-town Steshytsy, on the Dnieper tributary - the Ivnya-Bonda canal near the village Budka, on the Berezina tributary - the Svislach near the village Terebuty, on the Pripyat tributaries - the rivers Styr near the village Lopatino, Sluch near the agro-town Lenin, Ubarts near the village Krasnobarezhye, and Ptich near the village Pershaya Slabada. Water levels are close to the marks of water overflowing onto the floodplain on the Berezina near Berezina, Sozh near Slavgorod, on the Pripyat tributaries - the rivers Horyn near the village Malyya Vikaravichy and Stsviha near the village Karotsichy.
According to hydrologists' forecasts, in the coming days, the development of spring processes will continue on the rivers, with water levels rising and ice melting.
