It's a well-known lullaby.

We are talking about the lullaby "Long Day," the lyrics for which were written by Genadz Buraukin, and the music by Vasil Rainchyk. It was first performed by Yadviha Paplaŭskaya, and it is most likely her voice that this song resonates with in your thoughts.
But the story is not about that – the reason for the publication was a post on Threads, writes Blizko.by.
“Why, when I hear our Belarusian lullaby or sing it to my daughter, do I feel like crying? Especially the line ‘You too lie quietly, quietly by your mother,’” a woman asked on Threads.
Hundreds of comments immediately supported her. Many admitted that they also cry to this lullaby, and not just women.
- “Oh my God, I thought I was the only one so sentimental. I sang to my son and cried every time.”
- “And I cry, I'm 42, and everything inside me breaks. I wish someone would explain this phenomenon.”
- “Sad, yes, my son even cried once, he said: ‘Dad, this is too much…’”
- “To be honest, I thought it was just me… I thought I had mental problems, but truly this song and especially that line immediately bring tears… And such tears that you sob uncontrollably.”
Users not only praised the beloved lullaby but also offered very poetic explanations for its “tearful” effect.
- “A variant of the Stendhal effect? It’s so beautiful that it breaks us into pieces…”
- “Our lullaby is a global masterpiece. And you cry because deep down you understand: it won’t be like this forever, your daughter will grow up and leave the family nest. Health to you and your little one!”
- “Because this is our childhood. When I hear these songs, I want to cry out of pity for that little girl who still has to go through a difficult life path. One she doesn’t know about yet, and now she ‘lies quietly, quietly by her mother.’”
- “We sing our childhood memories, emotions, boundless love and pass them from our mothers to our children.”
Other beloved lullabies were also recalled. One of the most touching was also named "Lullaby" by Leanid Pranchak, performed by "Pesnyary."
