On the "Lidskaye Pivа" (Lida Beer) page in Threads, a message appeared stating that the traditional annual Lidbeer festival will not take place this year.
«It is with sadness and regret that we announce that the LIDBEER festival will not take place this year. We sincerely hope to meet in the future and will be glad to see you at other festival venues and summer activities with 'Lidskaye Pivа',» — wrote the festival organizers.
No specific reason for the cancellation was given at the time; the organizers only noted that
«as is customary to say in such cases, the festival will not take place due to reasons beyond our control».
This is not the first such case. Earlier, reports appeared about the cancellation this year of festivals WOSTRAU in Nesvizh and "Solstice" in Pruzhany. There, the organizers explained the cancellation by stating that after the entry into force of Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 454 of August 22, 2025, they would not be able to hold the festival at the usual level.
This resolution introduces a mandatory state register of organizers of cultural and entertainment events, in which legal entities conducting such events with Belarusian or foreign performers must be registered.
Without inclusion in this register, organizing events with the participation of foreign artists became illegal. The organizers emphasize that under the new conditions, they cannot independently bring in such artists, therefore, holding the festival at a high level became impossible.
It can be assumed that in Lida, the reason for the cancellation of the popular festival may also be directly related to this.
