Former LDPB Member Who Owned a Strip Club on Zybitskaya Sentenced for Political Reasons
Dzmitry Burak called himself a business angel, ran for election from the LDPB, and was considered one of the wealthiest candidates.

The Minsk City Court has sentenced 46-year-old Dzmitry Burak.
In earlier interviews, he stated that he had worked in public service for ten years, and then went into business. First, he was involved in ventilation installation, then elevators, and also invested in the IT sector. Among his other assets was the Gentleman's House strip club on Zybitskaya Street.
Burak called himself a business angel and headed the Angels band network.
Furthermore, Dzmitry was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. He ran for parliament from the party in 2016 and for the Minsk City Council of Deputies in 2018, but, naturally, lost. However, he distinguished himself as one of the wealthiest candidates.
It is unknown when a criminal case was opened against Burak and whether he was held in a pre-trial detention center (SIZO).
The businessman was accused of "facilitating extremist activity" (Part 1, Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code). Hundreds of people detained in the Hayun case are being tried under this article, but it is unclear whether Dzmitry faced the same charge.
Dzmitry Burak was sentenced to restricted freedom (a form of correctional labor without imprisonment).
