Paleshuks made a raft of canisters and sailed, then the raft began to sink
The incident happened yesterday on the Dnieper-Bug Reservoir in Kobryn district.

A 54-year-old man and an older companion came to the reservoir for fishing on a homemade raft. It was made of a wooden frame measuring 2×2 meters, with empty 20-liter canisters attached underneath.
They sailed about 50 meters, after which the raft fell apart, and the men ended up in the water, reports the Water Rescue Society.
The older friend got out of the water by himself, while the other man, unable to swim, held onto the raft and a canister.
His companion tried to help, throwing empty canisters and plastic bottles from the shore, but could not assist.
MES rescuers in a boat pulled the man from the water to the shore and handed him over to the ambulance crew that arrived at the scene. The man had general hypothermia, frostbite on both feet and hands.
