It is reported that airstrikes were carried out, among other places, on areas of the cities of Tyre and Nabatieh in the south of the country. This happened after the US and Iran had agreed on a temporary suspension of hostilities.
Israel explains its actions by continuing operations against the "Hezbollah" group and believes that the truce with Iran does not extend to Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the Israeli army will continue to carry out strikes.
At the same time, Pakistan, which acted as a mediator, stated that the truce should apply in all directions, including Lebanon.
According to reports, "Hezbollah" stopped shelling northern Israel after the announcement of the truce and has not yet commented on the new strikes.
The international community calls for an end to hostilities. Leaders of a number of countries note that the truce should also cover Lebanon.
In recent weeks, according to Lebanese authorities, more than 1,500 people, including children, have died as a result of Israeli strikes. About 1.2 million residents were forced to leave their homes.
Despite people's attempts to return, the military warns that it is still unsafe to be in the affected areas.
