The Telegram channel "VChK-OGPU" claims that an explosive device allegedly exploded on the restaurant's veranda while in a person's hands. According to this unconfirmed version, the person who detonated the device might not have known the true nature of the object and was used "in the dark." They died. There is no official confirmation of this information.
According to the Telegram channel "112", 17 people were taken to the hospital. Earlier, the main department of the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs reported three dead and 15 injured.

Near the building where the explosion occurred, many cars with black license plates, meaning Russian Ministry of Defense vehicles, were parked.
