Lebanon is not a party to the two-week ceasefire agreement between the US, Israel, and Iran, according to a statement from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Israel supports President Trump's decision to suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks, provided that Iran immediately opens the straits and ceases all attacks on the US, Israel, and countries in the region," the statement notes.
It is also stated that the two-week ceasefire "does not apply to Lebanon."
As CNN notes, Israel's position contradicts the statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, who mediated the agreement between the US and Iran – his statement said that the agreement included Lebanon. Trump did not mention Lebanon in his statement.
Since the beginning of March, Israel has been conducting a military campaign in southern Lebanon, targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah militants.
