Thief in Smolevichi district identified by muesli bar wrapper

Recently, a theft occurred from a dacha in the agro-town of Yuryeva. An unknown person broke the window glass and entered the house to steal food and alcohol.

A forensic expert found a package of sweets and muesli on one of the chest of drawers' shelves, and next to it, an empty wrapper. During the processing of the wrapper, a fingerprint was found on its surface.

It was subsequently revealed that this was a trace left by a local resident born in 1969, reports the State Committee of Forensic Examinations.

The police then detained the perpetrator and confiscated part of the stolen property.
