80-year-old Archbishop Emeritus Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz has been in hospital for over 10 days due to heart problems. His health deterioration became known when he was unable to attend the parish feast in Novolukoml on July 25, as reported by Katolik.life.
The archbishop then sent a congratulatory letter to the parish, in which he noted that due to his health condition and doctors' requirements, he had to remain under observation. On July 26, the hierarch was also unable to attend the feast for the elderly in the Minsk Cathedral — participants were informed that he was in hospital.
As far as is known, the situation was serious, but it was stabilized. Kondrusiewicz is now continuing inpatient treatment and is already feeling much better, expecting to be discharged this week.
In addition to heart problems, the archbishop has an oncological disease, the recurrence of which he has been battling for almost a year and a half.
