Baltic States again deny Robert Fico passage to Moscow parade via their territory
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that Lithuania and Latvia this year too will not allow his plane to fly through their airspace on the way to Moscow for Victory Day celebrations.

The Slovak Prime Minister noted that an alternative route would be found. He recalled that a similar situation had already arisen in 2025, when Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania also refused to allow his aircraft into Russia.
Fico expressed hope that, like last year, he would still manage to lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow.
He also announced that in the coming months he plans to participate in events dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy, as well as in celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the USA.
