EHU invites you to the educational program "European Heritage and Creative Tourism"

"European Heritage and Creative Tourism" is a new educational program at the European Humanities University in Vilnius. Based on the cultural heritage of Belarus, Lithuania, and other European countries, the university trains culture managers and creative tourism specialists capable of creating their own unique products and bringing them to life.

The program raises crucial questions of our time. Does Belarus possess cultural and historical subjectivity? What is the European cultural context? And how can Europe's intellectual tradition be used today? How can we design the future by working with heritage?

Creative tourism is based on creating a unique emotional and cultural experience that a person gains during their journey. Therefore, every tourism product in creative tourism is created as unique.

Today, creative tourism is a dynamic segment of the global tourism market, growing due to consumers' willingness to pay for original products. In the context of globalization and digitalization, it is becoming increasingly popular.

Thus, here students learn to understand and integrate heritage into diverse contemporary contexts, exploring its economic, social, and ecological potentials. For students, heritage is a way to realize themselves in unique projects, a path to finding themselves as an Author, a basis for career success, and the capitalization of their talent.

Why choose this program?

  • Skills in promoting and utilizing heritage — opportunities for using the cultural, social, economic, and ecological potential of heritage are explored.
  • Development of entrepreneurial competencies in culture — students master cultural management, marketing, and business strategies for creating unique products in cultural heritage and tourism. Over 20 years of cooperation with tourism organizations provide opportunities to get acquainted with current market trends, expand professional connections, and find career prospects at an international level.
  • Deep knowledge in the history of culture — students have the opportunity to study courses in history, museology, anthropology, and art history.
  • Development of creative thinking — the program is focused on forming skills for finding new original ideas and adopting a non-standard approach to problem-solving.
  • Practical orientation — internships in museums, archives, and research centers in European countries, participation in expeditions and international projects.
  • Two foreign languages — studies begin in Russian and Belarusian, with intensive English language learning and a gradual transition to English-language disciplines. Additionally, students can choose to learn German or French, expanding their career and academic prospects in EU countries.
  • Flexibility and individual trajectory — the ability to independently form a study plan, specialize in various areas of cultural heritage, tourism, and creative industries.
  • Opportunity to participate in international exchange programs — the program provides access to international courses and participation in academic exchanges (Erasmus+, OSUN, DAAD, Bard College Network), lectures by faculty and experts from leading universities in Europe and the USA.
