Belarusian Woman Disappointed by 'Top Crispy' Curd Snacks with Hazelnuts — No Hazelnuts Found Inside
Volha complained on Threads about Belarusian curd snacks under the 'Top' brand from 'Savushkin Product'. The snacks did not contain the ingredient declared on the packaging, writes 'Blizko'.
The girl was dissatisfied that the 'Top Crispy' curd snack with hazelnuts in glaze and caramel in glaze had no hazelnuts — "just glaze with holes". Volha attached not only her own photo evidence but also a response from the 'Savushkin Product' brand — they explained that the recipe and proportions are strictly controlled, but it's possible that something went wrong during the mixing process and some portions had more nuts than others.
However, in the comments, users disagreed with the manufacturer's opinion:
- "I've been buying them for over a month. There have never been any nuts."
- "We need to lobby for a law like in Japan, so that the appearance on the packaging matches what's inside."
Reporters decided to check for themselves: they bought two 'Top Crispy' curd snacks for 1.02 rubles at 'Euroopt' – one with hazelnuts and caramel, and one with coconut.
The ingredients listed in the glaze topping were: roasted hazelnut kernels and coconut flakes. They were also depicted on the front of the packaging next to a prominent inscription about their presence.
The curd snack with hazelnuts and caramel did not live up to the stated expectations – there were practically no nuts in the glaze. Even their taste was not felt during the tasting.
Things were better with the coconut curd snack – there wasn't much topping, but significantly more than the hazelnuts.
